MBA 505: Financial Management - Program Syllabus
This course focuses on financial management process for businesses and provides a substantial understanding of financial management
practices, laws and processes utilized in North American business environments. It builds upon the concepts from the core finance and accounting courses in preparing the students to understand the value of corporate financial governance. This course will provide students with understanding of capital budgeting, valuation of companies, the cost of capital, initial public offerings, mergers and takeovers, dividend policy, optimal capital structure, leveraged buyouts, and applications of option pricing to corporate finance. Learning experience will include case studies, text based lectures, written exam student interaction.
